Porto, a bag and photograph camera, it’s a really promising fun day, to have… Hope have more time, 3 days or more to visit better this lovely city.

Is so simple and wonderful every entry of tight streets that you lose your vision looking up. Is like that Porto, several moments that when we walk we fall more in love and fell that we are a part of this perfect city.

We could take the fantastic itineraries that they offer us but why we take a risk being bold and know this place with where the destiny takes us?

I’ll put some tips of places that you must pass, NECESSARILY, but like I said, do your pass until there…

To start, one tip! Wake up early!! No better combination of waking up early and see the sun rise… Take your breakfast in zone of Torre dos Clérigos and see the mix of baroque architecture with the contemporary style of Praça dos Clérigos. Enjoying the top of Torre dos Clérigos holding the breath with this landscape and check the magic that inspire J. K Rowling when she wrote the first books of Harry Potter imagining the stairs of Livraria Lello.

You can find this historic library with 111years close to the tower and the famous Galerias de Paris, gorgeous in the day and in the night, perfect to take a cup with your friends and have fun until dawn.

Take time and take some photos every detail you find crossing the path that Porto is taking you.

Going down we come over to Avenida dos Aliados, a mark in Porto city and you find town hall of Porto. In this place, we can go to every place we want.

TIP: One think I do when I travel is mark the places that I want to pass and see the distance between them and you manage your time, when you a discovering a new place and a place with a lot of history.

Places close to this avenue that you need to pass is the Theater D. João I, cross Passos Manuel street and you find the best Pasteis de Chaves… dying for… The famous Santa Catarina Street and the market Bolhão is places that you need to field your camera with moments and off course your belly with good things.

Crossing Batalha until Sé do Porto, the heart of historical zone and one of the oldest monuments in Portugal, is beautiful outside like inside, with courtyard named Paço Episcopal do Porto. Your eyes get lost with this panoramic view in direction of the sea and the details of rooftops of that cozy homes. Other perspective that you can’t lose, its below that courtyard, in Igreja de São Lourenço.

Time in Rua das Flores, Flowers Street and yes you find flowers or the colors of flowers hahahaha… A mix of cultures with street artists… dance, see all kind of art, photography, music… have FUN in there.

Close to Rua das Flores you find São Bento, a historical train station, that you must go! Stories in the walls, in the ceilings, the light coming into that big doors and floor pattern which takes people to various destinations.

Indeed, you have good times in Ribeira and people just find that in there.

The famous, the unequaled, the formidable place with the best view to Rio Douro, to the other border, Cais de Gaia and to the most photographed monument in Porto, Ponte D. Luis I, build by Théophile Seyring, that collaborated with Gustave Eiffel in Ponte Maria Pia, more North in Rio Douro…

I recommend you cross the bottom tray and the trop tray that is where metro pass… If you want to see better the two sides, the top tray gives you that magic touch of pure greatness.

You can go to there, going in to elevator of Guindais, the stairs of Guindais (if you like to walk… A LOT!) or the stairs below the bridge that is the easy way.

After you cross the bridge and the sun is setting, its better you go to Mosteiro of Serra do Pilar, a few steps of the bridge, already in the other side and you can see Porto, all Porto really! The warm sun, that fills the sky with a dream colors kissing the Ponte da Arrábida and the Douro river. See the beauty of the buildings with stories in the facades and rooftops… Stay in there until dark, watching the reflections in Douro river fill your eyes with good memories of a good day and make you want more, then a day in Porto.
