I always wanted to have the experience of living a time outside of Brazil. In 2015, the city I chose was San Diego, California and last year I just came back. It was a very positive surprise for me, because the city has several points similar to Rio, such as the weather and hospitality, making me feel at home.

I lived for four months in the city doing specialization in my professional area, which is Marketing and I had an immense pleasure of photographing the diverse beauties both natural and urban there, photography is my passion.

I lived in a student residence in the neighborhood called Little Italy, besides being a super charming and financially accessible place, I had the opportunity to get along with people from all over the world. My first tip goes to a cafe called Papalleco, a typically Italian place, with super friendly attentions and with best hot chocolate of all and do not forget to taste the gelatos.

In the middle of the city, we can visit Balboa Park, which is an incredible place with several options for: exercise, Photography Museum, San Diego Zoo, Japanese Garden and street performers, ideal for kids to have fun and absorb Culture and information.

One of the biggest attractions in California is the beaches, I’ll start by talking about Mission Beach. With a long bike path, the place has many options of bars and restaurants, one of the best is called Cannonball. Besides having a very diversified menu, it has a magnificent rooftop, overlooking the beach. Do not miss going in the late afternoon, enjoy a beautiful sunset, as in this photo, the colors and light of California are extremely charming. And right next door, it has a typical amusement park that surrenders lots of photos besides being able to enjoy all of a nostalgia, the Belmont Park is for all ages and for all tastes.

Another important point for the city is the Seaport Village, with a large Naval Museum and a breathtaking view, a super-visited area with several Mexican and Seafood restaurant options. And a super important tip is that every Tuesday happens Taco Tuesday, then run to a Mexican restaurant and enjoy the promotions of tacos and magueritas. In addition, you can find there perfect stores for souvenirs of the place, with low prices and lots of creativity.

There in the same place as I said earlier, you can take the boat, which takes about 15 minutes to a place called Coronado, a town within the county of San Diego, is simply a place charm! Super quiet, with parks, bars and restaurants that will enchant you with so much taste, nothing better than get out of the hustle and enjoy some quiet. Arriving at the beach, you will come across the most famous hotel, which in the summer gets super crowded. It is enjoy the view, relax and take a shower in the summer of course.

It would have to have pages and pages to describe all the places that I have the opportunity to know, whether touring or not, it is always lovely to be a part of the Californian culture. So, for waxing I’ll show you some of the places that I love the most: Pacific Beach and Sunset Cliffs. PB has some of the most famous piers in San Diego, known as an ideal beach for surfing, skateboarding and rollerblading. Its cycle path is always crowded with people of all ages, there is no way to go to San Diego and return several times there only to enjoy the sea on the pier, in the sand or in some funky bar.

And to finish, my favorite spot goes to Sunset Cliffs, nothing is equal to the sunset from there. Arrive early, because each space is well ordered, it is a well-known place for its rock formations that go against the sea, forming beautiful natural sculptures. If you want to end your trip in a magical place and that will fill your camera with photography and your heart of longing, do not forget to contemplate something so unique and leaves to desire sights around the world.

The most important thing for your trip is being prepared for everything that can happen, whether good or bad, it will be experiences for the rest of your life. And nothing, nothing will reward you more than live that special moment and that will enter your story, do not be afraid to risk! Go live.
